Hey all,
I’m Patrick Flood. This is my blog. Welcome. I don’t know how you got here, but here’s how I got here: I started writing the original version of this thing on Google Blogger around October of 2009. I was a junior in college, I had just transferred schools, I was bored as all hell. I thought I’d trying writing about the Mets as a way to pass the time/avoid hipsters.
Lacuna
A few years later, I have since graduated college (with, I kid you not, a eminently useful degree in Classical Languages) and this blog is now affiliated with SNY.tv. I guess that means I write stuff here and co-host the Mostly Mets Podcast. I also sometimes attend games as a pseudo-media-person, and I was even lucky enough to attend spring training in 2011. I presently live in Stamford, Connecticut.
Okay, I think that’s it for relevant stuff about me. If you’d like to contact me — I love emails, love letters, job offers, freelance gigs, free things, and so on — feel free to use the contact form above or directly at: Patrickjohnflood AT gmail etc..
And, in no particular order, some of my favorite clips:
“Things That Will Happen in the Next Year”
Predicting the 2012 Mets season in October of 2011.
“Signing Free Agent Pitchers”
and why it’s a terrible idea to do so.
“The Heroic Boring of David Wright”
Maybe my favorite thing I’ve written. It’s too bad David Wright has been pretty bad since, though.
“Tejadyssey”
I talked to Ruben Tejada and Jose Reyes about Ruben Tejada.
“Talking Segways with Chris Capuano”
This one is exactly what it sounds like.
